The Original Factory Shop (TOFS) was established in 1969, with an ethos that centres around bringing big brands to customers at lower prices. The business stocks thousands of products and big name brands at low prices.
The company’s business model promotes fast changing lines and new offers in store every week for its consumers. The nature of this fast stock turnover means that sometimes products are left without stock codes and partial ranges are left within their warehouse until the periodic stocktake.
We’ve provided TOFS with a wide range of services since 2005, from full and hybrid stocktakes to a more in-house approach of supplying them with barcode scanners and label printers.
As the company’s business has grown, so has their approach to stock taking. In the initial stages, we performed the count through our teams of experienced stocktakers, who went into store and created stock reports on all the company’s ranges.
In more recent years, we have helped the business develop their in house stocktaking activity. They now hire the Abacus Valuers scanners and printers, allowing their teams the flexibility of performing their stocktake when it fits best with the business. We have also written barcode scanner software especially for them, which includes features such as price checking and label printing.
We continue to provide help desk support to the company’s managers as and when it is needed from our Head Office IT team, providing them with the peace of mind that our expertise and support is always on hand when it is required.
