Seasalt Cornwall
Seasalt Cornwall, is a Cornish fashion company founded in 1981. The company designs and produces women's clothing, footwear and accessories inspired by the creative and maritime heritage of Cornwall. The company prides itself on its commitment towards the environment and uses the finest organic cotton in a high percentage of its products.
As a growing business, Seasalt has 45 shops located across England and Wales. In addition, they supply around 400 stockists in the UK and Europe and also design exclusive collections at John Lewis stores, Next and selected Fenwick stores.
As the business continued its fast paced growth, the stocktaking process was becoming too much for the company’s in-house team. A meeting with us, back in 2011, helped us map out together the next steps in making their stocktaking easier, more efficient and accurate.
We worked with the company’s management team to help create a system that enabled them to account for products in all their locations and, in doing so, helped improve their overall stock accountability.
We were happy to develop a system of stocktaking and variance checking that met their expectations and helped them achieve the high levels of stock accuracy to which the company operates. The system was easy to implement and gave management that added peace of mind that everything in terms of their stock had been accounted for.
Throughout the years, we’ve carried out various projects for Seasalt in their stores and also in their distribution warehouses. We are delighted to support them as their ranges and their business continues to flourish.
Phillip Pugh, Product Accounting Team Leader explained:
“Seasalt have utilised Abacus Valuers’ inventory service in our warehouses in Cornwall and our 45 shops across the UK. They are friendly, efficient and give a first class service.”
